Introduction:
As a medical professor, it is important to guide and mentor nursing students in developing their personal philosophy of nursing. This paper aims to guide students in defining and explaining their beliefs about the nursing metaparadigm concepts of person/client, environment, health, and nursing, and how they are interrelated in guiding their nursing practice. Additionally, this paper requires students to link their personal philosophy to a particular nursing theory and discuss how it reflects their beliefs. Students should define, describe and explain their personal beliefs about the four concepts of the nursing metaparadigm: person/client, environment, health, and nursing. They should provide a clear and concise explanation of how these concepts are interrelated and guide their nursing practice. For instance, a student may believe that a person is a unique individual who requires care that is tailored to their needs, and that the environment plays a critical role in their health outcomes.
