Assignment #4 – Beatitudes Campus The main topics of this unit are organization, environment, and culture change. Nursing homes began with a traditional clinical setting – a hospital like atmosphere, all the resident rooms centered around a medical station. The atmosphere was institutional. Routines were fixed and residents had little choice in food, clothing, daily activities and other routines. The human aspect was gone. There have been great changes in the past few years – the Greenhouse Model, the Eden Alternative. Most recently – the Beatitudes Campus. In addition to Chapter 7, please read the attached articles. What are some of the managerial challenges that innovative change may bring to residents, their families, staff and even regulators?
